Amii is proud to share the efforts and achievements of our researchers at the 34th Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), running online this year Dec 6 - 12.

On September 17, participants gathered digitally for the AI Meetup, featuring Mohammad Motallebi (Amii researcher at the xAI Lab) & Matthew E. Taylor (Amii Fellow & Associate Professor at UAlberta).

A course taught by Amii Fellow and Associate Professor at the University of Alberta Matthew E. Taylor will soon be made available to anyone with an internet connection.

Five Amii Fellows were awarded research grants as part of CIFAR’s AI and COVID Catalyst Grants initiative. The CIFAR AI Catalyst Grants Program is intended to catalyze new research areas and collaborations in machine learning, providing funding for innovative, high-risk, high-reward ideas and projects.
