Amii Monthly News: July 2024

Published

Jul 22, 2024

Hi there,

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we do healthcare.

And Amii's researchers are a part of that, making impressive advancements with AI in health. Earlier this month, Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Ross Mitchell and his collaborators received $1 million in funding from The Health Care Unburdened Grant Program

The team is working on Jenkins, an AI-powered scribe tool that takes medical notes for doctors working in the emergency room. By reducing admin tasks like note-taking, AI can give doctors more time to treat patients.

Jenkins is just one of the ways Ross thinks AI is going to revolutionize healthcare. If you’re interested in hearing more, he recently talked about other innovations he’s excited about and the massive impact AI will have in medicine.

Of course, healthcare isn’t the only area that AI is revolutionizing - if you’re curious about how AI can fit into your business or career, you can find out more here

Hope to connect with you soon,
