I wanted to thank everyone who helped make Upper Bound 2023 a success.
It was great to see so many people coming together to share the latest in artificial intelligence and how much promise it has to help us tackle pressing problems.

Last year, Amii signed the United Way's Period Promise, providing free menstrual products for employees, members, guests, clients, and the public. We encourage others to sign the Pledge too.

Amii researchers presented a paper at this year's AAMAS conference using machine learning to make robots more efficient in Attabotics Inc.'s robotic 3D warehouses.
Congratulations to Puyuan Liu, a recent MSc. grad supervised by Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Lili Mou, who won the 2023 Best Master's Thesis Award from the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Association.
We held a Duckietown Demo at Amii HQ during Upper Bound. It's a platform for autonomous machine research and education that allows students to investigate complex behaviours and tackle real-world challenges.
In the latest AI Seminar, Brett Daley proposes a unifying framework for per-decision and trajectory-aware methods.
Congrats to Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Osmar Zaïane, who won best paper at the Canadian AI conference for his work on Preferential Smoothing.
