Zach Tchir is a Machine Learning Scientist on the Startup team at Amii, supporting our Level Up program coaching sessions. Zach has a wide variety of technical experience. Most recently, he was on our Advanced Tech team as a Machine Learning Resident working with Virtual Gurus. Prior to this, he worked at Cybertech Automation as a Control Systems Integrator, Siemens Ruggedcom as a New Product Introduction Engineer, and Siemens Canada as an Engineering Intern.

Zach is currently taking his MSc in Intelligent Systems and Software Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research involves developing reinforcement learning-based Smart Home Energy Management Systems. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering, as well as a BSc with Specialization in Physics.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys getting outside to snowboard/split-board, golf, and rock climb. He also enjoys cooking.
