Nastaran Gholizadeh is a Machine Learning Resident with the Advanced Tech team at Amii, currently focused on the use of reinforcement learning for controlling plunger lift setpoints in the oil and gas industry. 

Nastaran earned her PhD in Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems from the University of Alberta; her research focused on ML applications (specifically reinforcement learning) in power and energy systems. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and travelling.
