Andriy Tovstiuk is the Marketing Manager at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii). His career spans various marketing roles across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, military, real estate, education, professional sports and entertainment, and the not-for-profit sector. Andriy began his marketing journey at GroupM (WPP), the world’s largest media investment company responsible for one in every three ads globally. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Alberta, along with the Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional (CAAP) designation from the Institute of Canadian Agencies (ICA).
As a sessional faculty member, Andriy has taught Strategy and Marketing in both graduate and undergraduate business programs at institutions such as University Canada West (Vancouver), MacEwan University (Edmonton), and UCU Business School (L’viv, Ukraine). A recipient of multiple academic, leadership, and professional awards, Andriy was honoured with a Fulbright Scholarship (Killam Fellowship) to study in the U.S. He is also a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, having served five years in the Intelligence Branch. For his overseas deployment on OPERATION UNIFIER in Ukraine (2019–2020), he was awarded the Special Service Medal (Expedition).
Passionate about community service, Andriy serves on the Executive Board of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council, collaborating with government and community leaders to advocate for Ukrainian Canadians and promote cultural heritage. His work and insights have been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, CBC, the NHL, and other major publications. While proudly based in Canada, Andriy has also lived in India, the U.S., Singapore, and Ukraine. An avid traveller, he’s always planning his next adventure!
