We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Associate Machine Learning Scientist with solid knowledge of machine learning and experience working with computer vision for a full-time, 1-year term opportunity for one of our clients. We’re looking for a potential candidate who is available to start in September 2021.
One of Canada’s three main institutes for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, our world-renowned researchers drive fundamental and applied research at the University of Alberta (and other academic institutions), training some of the world’s top scientific talent. Our cross-functional teams work collaboratively with Alberta-based businesses and organizations to build AI capacity and translate scientific advancement into industry adoption and economic impact.
This project will explore machine learning to recommend treatment plans for dentists and risk-stratify various dental concerns using historical patient data. This is a paid opportunity that will be undertaken over one year, with the potential for permanent employment afterward (at the discretion of the client). The Associate will report to an Amii Lead Scientist and work closely with dental professionals to collaborate on the project. The Associate will regularly consult with the project team to share insights, progress, and results.
