• We're thrilled to welcome two new Canada CIFAR AI Chairs to Amii! Geoffrey Rockwell's work includes computing in the humanities and the ethics of technology. Elina Robeva explores the intersection of math and machine learning, with optimization methods for causal inference in areas with complex dependencies in data. 
• How will AI change the way we teach and learn? In the latest episode of the Approximately Correct podcast, Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Adam White joins K-12 Education Advisor Jill Kowalchuk to discuss the potential of AI to transform education. 
• Discover how AI is transforming the use of prosthetic limbs! In our latest Meet the Fellows video, we sit down with Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Patrick Pilarski to talk about his work with BLINC Lab, using machine learning to help those with limb difference.

Training Updates:

• ML Foundations 1 is your way to get a basic, high-level understanding of what’s important and relevant in machine learning. Sign up for our March 7 course.
• Then expand on that knowledge with ML Foundations 2, where you'll be introduced to tools, strategies and knowledge regarding data and ML. The next session is on March 14.

Digitalization & AI in Oil & Gas Canada

The oil and gas sector is increasingly turning to Digitalization and AI for solutions to growing environmental concerns and regulatory pressures. Digitalization and AI not only offer ways to cut costs and boost efficiency but also provide the agility needed to adapt to market fluctuations and regulatory changes.

David Chan, Amii's Product Lead - Industry will be taking the stage on April 23 as part of a Keynote Panel Discussion called "Canada's leadership in AI and Digitalization Innovation: trends, achievements, and future prospects".
