The AI Seminar is a weekly meeting at the University of Alberta where researchers interested in artificial intelligence (AI) can share their research. Presenters include both local speakers from the University of Alberta and visitors from other institutions. Topics can be related in any way to artificial intelligence, from foundational theoretical work to innovative applications of AI techniques to new fields and problems.
On November 13, 2020, Masaf Dawood & Sindhu Adini from SpringML and Chloe Tottem from Google Cloud presented “Compute and Data at Your Fingertips”.
The presenters shared that by using a central platform for data, researchers can automate the data harmonization process, allowing them to share tools, data, and research findings with their group, collaborators, or the broader research community and use the data combined from various sources to complete tasks easily and efficiently.
