Learn from Amii's own Dr. J. Ross Mitchell at Canadian Ethics Collaboration 2023, hosted by the Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta (HREBA-CC).

Mitchell draws from his experience working to develop AI tools to improve the quality of cancer care to discuss how machine learning can be used in the medical field. He will also explore the potential that emerging AI technologies, like ChatGPT, offer in healthcare settings.

Mitchell's past research includes models to predict patient outcomes from electronic health record data, and using natural language processing to infer diagnostic codes from free-text pathology reports.

HREBA-CC provides ethical review and oversight for all cancer and cancer-related research involving humans (adult and pediatric), their information and/or samples.
