Join us at the 3rd annual Artificial Intelligence in Health Care Symposium (AIMSS)!
AIMSS organization aims to inform and educate students on the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the medical field. From AI-controlled robotic surgery and intelligent prosthetics, to health outcome prediction and precision medicine, this interdisciplinary effort aims to foster a collaborative community between computing sciences, engineering, and medicine
Founded in 2019 by two medical students, AIMSS works to inform and educate University of Alberta students on the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the medical field. The organization has over 300 members from various faculties including medicine, sciences, and engineering.
In addition to their annual symposium, AIMSS hosts regular talks, workshops and social events featuring various Amii researchers. This year they are hosting their improved Introduction to AI in Medicine and Applications of AI in Medicine curricula, and are currently expanding across North America with chapters in UBC, UofT, USask, UMontreal, UCalgary, and Dalhousie, and expressed interest from students in the United States.
