The complex nature of industrial processes presents challenges in achieving optimal plant operation. These operational inefficiencies demand more resources resulting in increased GHG emissions as well as undermining profitability and stability. AI can help address this problem by providing real-time context and recommendations to decision-makers. This talk will explore the challenges and opportunities for combining traditional engineering approaches with the latest advances in applied machine learning to reduce GHG emissions.
