What is Training Integrity?
Training integrity is similar to an Academic Integrity Policy or Student Code of Conduct you would find at a university. It addresses the actions and behaviours required by a participant in a training certification, program or course, as well as unacceptable actions and behaviours and the related consequences.
Training integrity at Amii deals with the following areas:
Plagiarism
Unauthorized Collaboration
Cheating
Facilitating Academic Dishonesty
Honesty is the best path to choose as you progress through your training journey with us. Our mission is to inspire world-changing artificial intelligence (AI) for good and for all. Offering training is one way that we create real-world impact by developing opportunities for individuals, like you, to contribute to a growing global AI ecosystem.
Acceptable Behaviours
Trust that you are capable of completing coursework and that your intellect has value
Reach out to instructors for advice, clarity and guidance when you are unsure about an assignment
Undertake your work honestly and be proactive in crediting others for their work
Do original work for each assignment
Solicit feedback and accept corrections with an open mind
Be confident and showcase your knowledge
Unacceptable Behaviours
Hire, contract or pay anyone to do course work for you
Copy work (this includes writing, code, data and ideas) without making every effort to cite your source
Seek collaborators for an assignment beyond the scope identified by your instructor
Submit work that was previously completed without the express permission of your instructor
Diminish your work ethic or intellect by allowing others to copy your work or present your work as their own
Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
Participants asked to stop unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Participants who violate the behaviours listed above may be expelled from the course, prohibited from taking future courses, and will not receive credit or reimbursement at our discretion.
