Mahtab Farrokh is a Machine Learning Resident on the Advanced Tech Team. She has worked on several ML applications in healthcare, including work as AI Developer with the startup Tebinja, as well as a research position at the University of Alberta.

Mahtab earned her Master’s degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, supervised by Russ Greiner; her research focused on medical imaging and cancer prognosis.

Outside of work, Mehtab loves biking, traveling to the mountains, camping, and Ashtanga yoga. She also enjoys baking and watching good-quality non-Hollywood movies.
